1. Main Material

The inner ring, outer ring and rolling rollers of BF3170Z double-row spherical roller bearing are forged and quenched with GCr15 high-carbon chromium bearing steel, It features high hardness, outstanding wear resistance, fatigue resistance and pressure resistance. The solid machined brass cage in the middle has great toughness and fast heat dissipation, which resists deformation and fracture under low-speed heavy-load operation. It holds lubricating grease evenly to reduce roller friction loss. With stable heat treatment and P6/P5 dimensional accuracy, the bearing has strong anti-impact performance.

2. Applicable Machinery & Mounting Positions

BF3170Z is a heavy-duty spherical roller bearing specially for construction machinery. It is widely used in excavators, loaders, motor graders, heavy dump trucks, mine crushers, large concrete mixers and coal mine conveyor rollers. Typical mounting positions include excavator travel gearboxes, slewing reducer boxes, loader main shafts, crusher eccentric shafts, reducer output shafts and mine belt roller supports. It bears heavy radial load and bidirectional axial load, and compensates misalignment and angular deviation caused by shaft installation errors to prevent eccentric wear.

3. Provided by ZHZB installation, Maintenance & Repair Plan

Before installation, remove any impurities from the bearing housing and journal, and apply high-temperature grease specifically designed for construction machinery. Use the hot-mounting method: evenly heat the inner ring to 80–120°C and then smoothly mount it onto the spindle; striking the outer ring or cage directly is strictly prohibited.

Additionally, inspect the oil seal regularly to prevent mud and water from damaging the raceway. Use professional tools for disassembly and maintenance. If raceway spalling or corrosion, a broken cage, or roller wear is detected, the entire bearing assembly must be replaced. Ensure proper reassembly to prevent overheating, seizure, or radial runout, thereby maximizing service life.
